Jacques Henry Kallis (Jacques Kallis) was born on 16th October 1975 in Pinelands, Cape Town. He is one of the great player in the history to score more than 10,000 runs and picked up 250 wickets in both ODI and test cricket. Kallis started his career playing for Wynberg Boys’ High School. Kallis selected for South Africa Under-21 as a 12th member in the squad. When he was 18 years old, Kallis made his first class career debut in 1993-94 playing for Western Province.
Jacques Kallis made his test debut against England at Durban on 14th December, 1995. Kallis made his one day cricket debut against England at Cape Town on 9th January, 1996. Kallis is one of only four players in the test cricket after Sir Donald Bradman, Gautam Gambhir and Mohammad Yousuf to score five consecutive centuries. He set this record in season 2003 and 2004. In the year 2005 Kallis make the record for the fastest half century in test cricket history, scoring 50 in just 24 balls against Zimbabwe.
Jacques Kallis made 17 centuries and 80 half centuries with 11,002 runs in ODI cricket including 40 centuries and 54 half centuries with 11,947 runs in test matches. Kallis is one the best leading all rounder in the history having batting average 45.84 in ODI format and 57.43 in test matches. He took 259 wickets with a Bowling Average of 31.90 in ODI cricket and 270 wickets with a Bowling Average 32.01 in test matches. Kallis currently holding the South African records which it includes most ODI runs, test runs, highest batting average in ODI format, second highest batting in test matches and most Test centuries by a South African cricketer.
The Jacques Kallis Scholarship Foundation was recognized with the aim of combining the academic and life skills programmes for existing school structures funding and instructing support from Jacques Kallis.
